Through her many years as a psychologist, author and
seminar leader, Dr. Noelle C. Nelson has empowered
countless individuals to be happier, healthier and
more successful at work, home and in relationships.
Of her nine books, Dangerous Relationships: How to
Identify and Respond to the Seven Warning Signs of a
Troubled Relationship (1997 hardback, 2001 paperback,
De Capo Books) and Winning! Using Lawyers' Courtroom
Techniques to Get Your Way in Everyday Situations
(1997, Prentice Hall; Get Your Way, paperback
edition, 1998)
were best sellers. Dangerous Relationships, which
discusses the signs leading up to domestic violence,
established Dr. Nelson as relationship expert.
Dr. Nelson shares her proactive and positive outlook
in all her books, articles, interviews, seminars and
consulting practice. Dr. Nelson's The Power of
Appreciation: The Key to a Vibrant Life (2003, Beyond
Words Publishing) gives readers both the skills and
the inspiration to turn negative situations around to
lead rewarding, satisfying lives. As part of the
"Power" series, she has written The Power of
Appreciation in Business (2005, MindLab Publishing)
and The Power of Appreciation in Everyday Life
(October 2006, Insomniac Press).
Other books include Everyday Miracles (2000, Prentice
Hall Press) and Winner Takes All: The Eight Keys to
Developing a Winner's Attitude (1999 hardback, 2001
paperback, Perseus Publishing). As a trial
consultant, Dr. Nelson wrote A Winning Case
(Prentice Hall, 1991) and Connecting With Your Client
(American Bar Association, 1996).
Dr. Nelson has been interviewed by CBS's "The Early
Show," Montel Williams, ABC's "The View," Fox News,
CNN, Redbook, Cosmo, People, Glamour and hundreds of
other electronic, print and online media in the U.S.
and abroad.
Dr. Nelson regularly speaks at conferences in North
America and Australia. She consistently receives
outstanding marks from audience members. She also
conducts monthly audio conferences with Eli Research,
again, receiving first-rate feedback.
Born in Manhattan to a French mother and an American
dad, Dr. Nelson, at the ripe old age of six months,
came to Southern California where she currently
resides. Travel is a cherished pastime, which Dr.
Nelson enjoys whenever her schedule permits. Other
interests include voracious reading (mysteries and
historical fiction a great favorite), Latin Jazz, and
snorkeling wherever warm tropical waters are to be found.
Dr. Nelson holds advanced degrees in clinical
psychology from the United States International
University (M.A., Ph.D.), and sociology degrees from
the University of California at Los Angeles (B.A.)
and the Sorbonne, Paris (Maitrise, Doctorat 3eme
Cycle). She is a licensed clinical psychologist.
